In autumn 2003 we spend some days on the German island Rügen. For Kite Aerial Photography I used my Canon A70 with the KAP-Rig # 5 and my Flow-Form kites. On that island there are a lot of KAP - motives so that I still will make some photos there.

Part # 2: Kap Arkona at Putgarten with both Lighthouses
Part # 3: Port and oar ferry at Moritzdorf

We were in the southern part of the island today. On the way home we wanted to look at the well smallest ferry of Germany (?). A scenically wonderful area was there with a little port. The wind was no more powerful but the place was so charmingly that I absolutely wanted to make some air photos here. Therefore I have gone back to the car and have fetched the rucksack with the KAP equipment.

On the fastened concrete area I then have started my Flow-Form #1 under the interested eyes of the other vacationists of the little port. After I had made some photos from a low height, the kite didn´t had enough pull any more. Therefore I have pulled in the rig and the kite again and started the bigger Flow form # 2. Then it turned allright very much with that.

The well smallest ferry of Germany, the oar ferry Moritzdorf, runs here. For 50 cent per person or one Euro for a bicycle the ferryman gets you to the other side. If, once, the ferryman cannot be seen, one can knock at a hanging pipe and so call the ferry with a hammer.

Links to other KAPers and more you can find in my Surfers Guide.

I like to be available for questions, suggestions or experience exchange.

I would be very pleased about an entry in my visitor's book.
