My new KAP-Rig # 4 for the
SONY P5 weighs only 462 grams completely with camera. My Picavet # 1 was to big
and heavy for the small Rig. So a new small and light one must be build. With
the new suspension I could save approx 60 grams again.
I have described the principle of the Picavet at my Picavet # 1, so here are only the innovations. |

Picavet # 2 out of aluminum |
| Weight have I saved everywhere where it seemed possible for me. The arms of the picavetcross don't consist of square pipe but of 2 mm flat aluminum now and, with 120 mm of length, they are smaller than at the picavet # 1 with 190 mm. In addition I have attached some drillings to reduce the weight again. |

| The
diameter of the roles for the blocks has shrunk from 20 mm to 10 mm.
Through this, of course the blocks also could be smaller and heavyer.
The roles nevertheless run on brass liners.
To connect the picavet with the Rig, the shaft of the Rig is put into the aluminum hull of the picavet and held with a coachwork pin. This hangs on a little string so that it dosn´t be lost. |

| The role blocks are
fastened with 12 mm of key rings at the picavetcross. When threading
the 10 m long line it proved, that it is better to work with one key
ring and partly with two. The scheme for threading the line is
described at the Picavet # 1. Here I have
used 0,6 mm jacketed line as it is used at small stunt kites.
The complete picavet # 2, existing from picavetcross, role-blocks, line and potato chip bag clips weighs 70 grams now and is 60 grams lighter than the old mounting. |
