On the last day of our vacation I have gone to port by bicycle once again to take some pictures of the nice houses. I then have started the kite and made some photos of the cottages in the dike street, a parallel street to the port. It has worked well that I then simply have gone with the flying kite along the street in direction of ferry port and also have taken some pictures of the port there.

Right picture:
Since 1991 the motor lifeboat "Hannes Glogner", with its daughter boat "Flinthörn", is stationed on the island. It belongs to the fleet of the German society for the rescue of shipwrecked persons (DGzRS). It is a ship of the 23 m class, hase 2 Engines with 972 hp and a speed of 20 knots. On board there is everything one needs, even an own hospital. The boat is capsizing-sure and unsinkable.

The preparations just run on the meadow at the port for the port feast on 11 and 8-12-2001. There are clear to see the cars and roundabouts of the showmen. The tea-room further is located behind in the nice cottage.

The yacht port of the island. The boats of the Langeooger people, and also many guests, lie here. It is interesting to look at the different yachts and the owners on the footbridges between the boats.

Every vacation on Langeoog almost starts here: At the ferry port on the island. The ferries of the mainland, which transports approx. 700 persons, dock here. The guests then change over into the new trains of the island train and are taken to "Langeoog village". The support and disposal ships "Onkel Otto" and "Pionier" dock here too (on the right below in the picture).

The Langeooger island train has been equipped with new cars and engines some years ago. The nice colored trains bring guests to the place and also back again to the port repeatedly on the day.
