The coal mine ERIN was founded 1866 of an Irish man. His native country to please, he named the mine ERIN (green island).
The today visible winding tower was still built 1954 over shaft 7. It is 68 m high and bears the name ERIN in big letter over a long distance visibly. It was restored in 1990 by the engagement of the "association ERIN" and is the emblem of a service and trade center which has is established on the former coal mine aera now.
