I have already built a delta kite for the aerial picture photography over one year ago. Now I will publish a small article about this kite. This shall not be a building instruction but only inform about the possible kites for KAP.
Mostly I use Flow Form kites for the aerial picture photography. These have the great advantage that they can be rolled up very smally and have such a good package measure. Unfortunately, the start is a little difficult if one is alone and on the flight area there are buildings or it is wooded. Then there are bad wind conditions for the start at the ground. If the kite is over the obstacles in the right wind then flight is no more a problem. To be able to start also at such unfavorable ground wind conditions a framed kite is more suitable. One then simply can put the kite to a wall or a bush, rolls out 20 - 30 meters of kiteline and then pulls the kite into the wind with some trots.
My choice was fallen on a delta kie because I know the good handling characteristics of a delta from earlier times (The time before KAP).
The kite has a span of 3 meters and is suitable to lift my KAP Rig # 5 with the Canon A70 also with the mounted Fisheye. As kiteline I use a 2 mm, 113 dN polyesterline.

| The trailing edge of the kite is
edged with spi nylon. I use my special sewing shoe for this. |
Almost ready. The two halves and the keel still must be sewn together. |

Links to other KAPers and more you can find in my Surfers Guide.
I like to be available for questions, suggestions or experience exchange.
I would be very pleased about an entry in my visitor's book.
